Monroe Majors Evaluations - Team Announcements

Updated Friday September 15, 2017 by Monroe Sports Association.

Good morning Hornet Parents,

We would like to thank everyone that brought their son's out to the evaluations.  The process of scoring has taken longer than usually due to the amount of Boys that tried out and the number of evaluators.  The Monroe Major Teams will be announced this evening, Friday 9/15 at the Park Concession Stand.  Due to the results of the scores we will not be able to do teams based on sole age groups.  (The exception being the 8U Team)  We took the top scores from each age bracket, ie. 9/10, 11/12, to field each team.

This year we will be fielding :

  •   8U Gold Team
  • 10U Gold Team
  • 10U Blue Team
  • 10U White Team. The 10U White Team is a developmental team playing Majors games on Sundays and still participating in the In-House Rec Season.

  •  12U Gold Team
  •  12U Blue Team

For those 11 Year old and 12 Year old boys that did not make the Gold or Blue teams, we will still have a Team within the Organization for them.  (If we have any boys decide not to play, the player with the next best score will be called and ask to be on the team first.)

Unfortunately, we did not get enough interest, as of yet, to field the old age divisions. We are confident that we will be able to field teams for those age divisions with Monroe.  If by the time the 2018 registration ends and we do not have enough to field a team(s), we will find a team for those affected.

If your son is not interested in playing for the Major Team he scored for, please email boyscommisioners@monroesports.net as soon as possible and we will remove him from the roster.

Again, Thank You all and we look forward to a Great 2018 season.
